Why We Now Have Fish
We now have a fish bowl with four fish. 2 tetras, and 2 mollies. Ask Ava what a fish does, and she can tell you. Whether it was the koi pond at the Grand, or our next stop, we may never know. What we do know, is that Ava likes fish, so who are we to deprive her of a pet experience? Yeah?
By the way, I really do hope everyone is enjoying the blog this month. I know it's all about Hawai'i, which some may not get. All I can say is I have a new obsession. Hopefully the photos and breakdowns aren't too boring. Soon I'll move on, and maybe even post some wedding photos of Doug, Crystal and Ava!
On with the show!
Here we are at the Maui Ocean Center.

Yep, it really is us :)

Teaching Ava the wonders of the sea.

This huge aquarium had sharks, rays and all kinds of fish in it. Oh yeah, and some guy feeding them. He spoke to the crowd all the while, which was VERY cool.

Plus there was this tunnel that goes under the aquarium. You can see all the fish from underneath. It's way cool, too.

So cool in fact, it wore Ava right out!

While in the gift shop, we met this artist and got Ava's Hawaiian name. EIWA is the phonetic spelling. It means a couple of things: without bounds, and also kindness.

The fish really captured her attention.

I love the excitement.

We went to the touch pool, and got to feel sea cucumbers, urchins and starfish.

Here's a pair of honu swimming. I still can't believe how many we snorkeled with!

Even the phone booths are flowered!

Still to come: Makena for snorkeling, Ali'i Kula Lavendar, Hana...ugh, I miss Maui :) Aloha.

Maui is a great place to miss. All you have to do is daydream and you are back there. The Maui Ocean Center is so neat. I think that is where Ava fell in love with fish. But where did she fall in love with cows? I like that phone booth. Some people collect salt and pepper shakers with cows. Maybe you ought to collect phone booth pictures--I have this neatest one in Victoria, British Columbia. Can't wait for the rest of the story. Paul Harvey doesn't hold a candle to you. Your style continues to be top notch. Keep up the good work. Can't wait to see Doug and Crystal's wedding pictures. What a great day for the wedding. How did they know to choose October 7 instead of October 14? What a difference a week makes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sorry, the above is from guess who?
