Fourth of July Weekend

Since we last left our heroes…..

Well it’s been a busy week. Our cousins from California (with whom I lived when I was out there) came to Michigan for a visit. Borah (Debi), Jim and Kim spent a week up here, and Kim was with us all week. We had a great time, it was just very busy. So now we’re back, and with more pictures than ever! I’m going to go back in the collection a little and post as they go on in time.

Here’s the update information-wise. We finally got Ava’s two month portraits back, and they’re not good. The blanket they put her on had a huge stain, and apparently Life Touch does not airbrush, so they’re going to try and put a border around it to get rid of the stain. We’ll see if it works. Plus it will take ANOTHER 3 weeks. I’m not happy with them right now. And Wednesday is 3 months for Ava, so we’ll have those taken, too. I’ll put the 2 monthers up in this post. They’re SO cute. Ava is also getting tummy time, trying to get her ready for crawling. She’s growing so quickly. And she’s trying very hard to roll over. Now she’s sleeping most of the night in her new co-sleeper. She had a record 8 hours last week.

Ava’s making a lot of noises now, too. She’ll “talk” to you and smile and giggle. And I think the sign language is sinking in. When we talk to her, and show her Bye-Bye and I Love You, she’ll move her arms and hands like she’s starting to get it. So we’ll keep that up.

So the pictures today are from back in the archives. The one day Sarah had to Ava out of the house – we had guys working on the basement with jackhammers – she dropped by Grandpa’s library to say hi. So that’s what is here, plus the portraits. I photo-shopped the stain out. Wonder if Life Touch can do the same… Anyway, the protraits are courtesy of JC Penney and Life Touch Studios. Enjoy, and have a great Fourth!!

Here's the 2 month with wings. What a great shot.

What GREAT pictures! I would love to see the rest of them sometime. I can't believe how big she is getting and how much she is changing. See you guys soon!
