Friday Fun

Happy Friday everyone. Thanks for visiting..I hope the first week of Ava's Blog has been enjoyable. I think it's pretty cool. Today's sampling is Grandpa Cramer's idea. He brought over a camera with a great 'macro' function so he could get close-up very nicely. So you get to see Ava's hand, feet, ear...very cute pictures (I think so, anyway!).

I'm here to tell you...Ava has been such a joy to Becky and myself. I knew that we really couldn't grasp the depth of love we'd feel for her without Ava even having to lift a finger. What I wasn't prepared for was how our (mine and Becky's) relationship would grow. No one had ever said anything about that before. Everyone will tell you how "you can't fathom a parents love" and all that...but I'm so amazed and proud of my wife that my love for her is just unbelievable now. I know it sounds all sappy and cheesy, but I just wanted to share that with everyone. I've told Becky all this, but I thought it'd be nice to share. Anyone thinking of having kids ought to be prepared for the miracle.

We'll see what the weekend brings. We don't have anything planned...but I'll be sure to have the camera ready, and share with everyone. The weekend may provide much time to update, but I'll do my best. Enjoy your weekend all...without further ado, here are the photos!

A Couple of Firsts

This was attempted earlier...but it failed. Here we go again.

Today's post is two-fold. Firstly, I've added a new feature. I've signed up and added Google Ads to the blog. They say ads in the box will be "relevant" to the page...we'll see what that means. Google will pay me for each ad someone clicks. I want to take any money I make and put it into a fund for Ava. The box is down near my profile right now, but as I'm so new to web publishing that may change. So that's my sales pitch.

Moving on...today's pics are some of Ava's "firsts." I hope you enjoy them. But since no one's leaving comments (except Paula and Rachel)... I don't know how I'm doing! **insert those annoying smiley faces here - which means I'm kidding** Leave me comments...and enjoy the pics!

Well I hope everyone is doing well. We sure are enjoying our little blessing. She had a pediatrician appointment Tuesday. She now weighs 8 pounds, 6 ounces. She gained 17 ounces in 12 days. We're so happy she's doing well. They say 1/2 an ounce to an ounce a day is average. So that's the update. Enjoy your day!

How Daddy Spent His Lunch

Since I live so close to work, I'm lucky enough to go home on my lunch break. Today it was spent helping give Ava a bath! Plus, there is a picture of cousin Kelly, and one of Ava's new chair I put together this weekend. So much fun!

Ava's Announced on the News!

On the 11:00 news Wednesday, April 6th... the anchors announced Ava's birth. Much to my surprise! Luckily I caught it live...but I also have it on tape. So here's Judy and Mark.

Tuesday's Update

Hello again...

I'm glad those who've ventured to Ava's Blog are enjoying so far. I've re-sized the pictures, hopefully it's better. Feel free to leave comments with any entry.

Here are a few more pictures. I'll have some more up to date photos soon. It's catch-up time right now.

Ava is doing well. She sleeps about 3-4 hours at a time, so Mama's up with her throughout the night. I get up when Becky nudges me to change Ava's diaper, but otherwise she lets me sleep so I can work. I'm sure I'll pay for it later though... :^) Just kidding! Anyway, enjoy and I'll let everyone know how our pediatrician appointment goes today with a post - probably tomorrow.

Figuring it all Out

Two Weeks Old

Inaugural Post

Creeping up on three weeks old now...and Ava is doing great. I've created this blog to update pictures and news on her. I hope to update pictures a few times a week, once I figure this out.

Here are her vitals...Ava Elizabeth was born Wednesday, April 6th, 2005. She was born at 6pm weighing 7 pounds, 3 onuces at 20 inches long. At one week she's already holding her head up. Becky and I are so blessed, and so proud. Here are a few pictures for you to enjoy.
